Flap valves are rather simple means to prevent damage or other unwanted consequences caused by the backflow of sewage in pipes and walls. The unwanted backflow of sewage water causes a lot of damage every year and arouses constant fear of this backflow, in the sense of it recurring during heavy rainfalls or unusually high water levels. We have been protecting both people and their properties against these negative consequences all around the world since 1988 with our product lines of flap valves.
We like to share with you how a KWT flap valve from the KRK-R series works: The flap valve has a round opening in the wall plate, in front of which a valve plate hangs on a hinge. Between the wall and valve plate, a rubber seal is placed. The water pressure from the front-side or the mounting-side, causes the valve to close. Due to the added counterweight, the valve plate does not float upwards and the rubber seal placed at a slight angle ensures that the valve always seals properly (unless obstructed).
In addition to the KRK-R series for round passages, KWT has various other solutions available for your implementation.
HDPE has several advantages for the user. It is a lightweight material that ensures a low opening pressure and allows the optimal use of the storage capacity in the system. HDPE is also a sustainable material that lasts for a long time, requires very little maintenance and also has a low impact on the environment. If in any case the product can no longer be used, for example due to irreparable damage, both the HDPE and stainless steel are 100% recyclable.
